National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Extends Deadline for Scholarship Applications Due to COVID-19

Deadline extended through March 31st to scholarship applicants time and resources to over $1 million in scholarship funding

WASHINGTON, DC – March 18, 2020 – The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) announced today that it is extending its scholarship deadline by an extra two weeks to accommodate college students, military servicemen and women and any individual interested in pursuing a restaurant, foodservice or hospitality career.
The extension comes at a time when countries around the globe are facing a myriad of negative impacts due to coronavirus (COVID-19). The NRAEF will take into special consideration the applicants who are not able to provide required documents immediately. The Foundation is prepared to make accommodations for students affected by school closures as needed.
Each year, the NRAEF awards nearly $1 million in scholarships and grants to individuals across the country. Applications for post-secondary education are typically accepted through March 15, but this year, will be accepted through March 31st.
Scholarships range from $2,500 to $10,000 and can be used towards tuition and fees, books, room and board and other school-related expenses. The scholarships have no age restrictions. Whether applicants are recent high-school graduates or adults looking to make a career change, individuals at various education levels are encouraged to apply.
