Vice President, Communications & Events

Gordon Lambourne is Vice President of Communications and Events for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF). He serves on the Foundation’s leadership team and is part of the National Restaurant Association’s enterprise-wide marketing communications organization. Gordon oversees NRAEF communications strategy, public relations, social media, and campaign development. He is also responsible for the Foundation’s special events and provides communications support to the Multicultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance (MFHA), an NRAEF affiliate.

Prior to joining the NRAEF in January 2017, Gordon served as Sr. Vice President of Global Brand Public Relations for Marriott International, Inc., the world’s largest hotel company. His 35-year career at Marriott spanned virtually all aspects of communications and events, including PR strategy and support for the company’s brand portfolio, global marketing initiatives, international operations, and crisis management.

Gordon currently is a member of the Washington, D.C. National Kidney Foundation’s (NKF) Board and volunteers as an NKF Mission Speaker. He has also been a guest lecturer at the University of South Carolina’s annual I-Comm Week and at Brigham Young University’s School of Communications. In 2015, Gordon received the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Winthrop W. Grice Award for Lifetime Achievement in Travel and Hotel Public Relations.

Gordon is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
