As Executive Vice President, Inclusion, Diversity, and People at Noodles & Company, Sue Petersen leads the company’s HR function with a passion for creating a culture that thrives through inclusivity and core values that come to life every day. During her time with Noodles, the company has been recognized numerous times for its commitment to its people, including being named to the Forbes Best Places list for Diversity for the past three years.
Sue’s love for DEI has been evident throughout her career, as she initially introduced diversity, equity, and inclusion language at Chipotle in the early 2000s. She says this work has always been very close to her heart as she grew up in the Midwest under the strong influence of her mother and grandmother, who were both small business owners dedicated to forging a way for women in the business world. Sue aspires to help influence and pave the way for the restaurant industry to be better, do better, and create a bright future for all.
