ProStart For Students

ProStart® is a career and technical education program that unites the foodservice industry and the classroom to teach high school students culinary skills and restaurant management principles, as well as employability skills such as communication, teamwork, professionalism and time management.

Working toward your Certificate of Achievement (COA)

Experience can be achieved through any combination of paid employment, school-based enterprises (such as catering, fundraisers, providing meals for students or community groups etc.), internships, and relevant volunteer work.

Compete for scholarships and prizes at the National ProStart Invitational by winning your state competition. At the National ProStart Invitational you can meet other ProStart students from across the nation, network with industry professionals, and learn more about college and careers in the restaurant industry.
